Prob the switch in the tank stuck on. I think it is a tank out job, or it could be a wire off somewhere touching ground but i an not sure if the switch is to gound. Hope this helps Bob.....

under back seat is a cover which under neath is the pump this has sender unit attached and some wires fiddle about with wires or just replace with a second hand unit from from scrappers or if lazy tape over the light or take the bulb out
