My old S40 SE had heated front seats that heated your bum and back very well. Just bought a V70 SE and the seat only heats the bum and not the back. Can't find anything in the car manual, are my seats working correctly? Any ideas? Thanks

Yes, both the back and the seat are heated on both seats. My V70 also has heated rear seats and those too heat the back as well as the bum ! Looking at the Haynes manual, it just shows the heated seat as two elements in series, so I too would assume that if there is a break in one the other wouldn't work, so both seat and back would either work or it won't, rather than seat working and back not Malc

Hi, If the above is correct, then it maybe that the element (upper) has failed. Elements can fail, but wiring for these can also fail.. Des. . . ;)
