MessageAuthor

I take it back :( Trying to use inline editor actions from the main action list prevents me from being able to wright a script to close all selected inline editors without searching threw the API for an appropriate function. Hears what I tried. Code:

phew, thank god for that! ;) but yes, just looked at the actions for inline and we don't have any really for opeing them all, just tried to do a fancy custom action to open and close all of the midi items at once but it doesn't work, it does need some love the whole inline system but I do love it ;)

You can open all selected using open in inline editor from the main action list. But yes theres allot missing e.g. select previous/next note. (available in Midi editor but not in the inline editor) Pls pls bring the love :) But buy far for me the most restricting thing is the way in which actions can only work when the inline editor is selected and its only selected once you edit a note inside the editor itself so even having a global track zoom or what ever its going to be imposable to use it straight from the arrange page.

Kind of funny: 'Add previous/next note to selection' is there. Btw, I don't seem to get a pointer to an inline editor with MIDIEditor_GetActive? My toolbar actions don't work on an inline editor (trying to call 40180, move down one octave, it shares the same ID number in the MIDI editor and inline editor section, so should work technically). Editing a note doesn't help :(. I don't think the length of the ID number is something to worry about. In the main window section are several actions that have 1, 2 or 3 digits and the MIDI editor section sports some 4-digiters.

Yep its all a little unfinished I feel. I'm guessing if you were to manually select an inline item by using one of the midi toolbar buttons as soon as you press the Main toolbar button all actions refresh back to main. I've tried using open in inline editor before the inline editor actions but its very buggy as to weather it will focus the action list or not and when it does it doesn't like to share keystrokes with the Main keystrokes A simple pointer action or API call would go along way hear
