Mix window

MessageAuthor

Hello. I started recording in Reaper last year and I love it. Now I'm ready to mix, but I'm having trouble with my mix window. I have it set up as a separate window and toggle back and forth from the recording window using Command M (on Macbook). My issue is that when I move a track in the recording window, it gets moved to a random place in my mix window. How can I arrange the tracks on my mix window so that it won't get mixed up when I rearrange tracks in recording window? Does that make sense? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Figured it out! In the MCP, I hit the "Mixer" scroll down and checked "Auto-arrange tracks in mixer". Now the when I rearrange tracks in one window, the tracks in the other rearrange accordingly. Thanks again for the assist.
