In other forums which are based on the vBulletin forum software i'm used to search for exact phrases using quotes. It seems it doesn't work here? I've just tried to search for a part of a text of a Reaper message: "There were 1 items in the project that were saved by extensions. If you save this project without those extensions installed, you may lose those extensions' data." I've quoted the part "saved by extensions". I've got a lot of resulting posts which contained "saved" or "by" or "extensions". I've expected posts containing just the whole phrase or no result at all. Single quotes don't do it either. Michael

Same experience here, phrases don't seem to work, pitty (for new users especially). I've given up on the forum search function mostly and use the Google custom search instread.

Have you tried doing a search like this: +saved +by +extensions I can't guarantee it'll work but it's worth a shot. :-)

is the right place to do a search for strings in quotes.

@richie43 : I guess you were in a bad mood. I'm sorry for the double post but I haven't seen any reports of people terribly confused or even injured by this error.
