Finally made the complete move - no more wine, just Linux and Reaper <3 LinVST gave awful performance on my previous laptop, but I've got a new (used) one now, and everything is just sweet hunky dory! (well, almost :D ) However, I'd like to be able to use native Linux-plugins, and hooray: Carla VST is there to help me! However, there's absolutely no midi-input inside the bay when I load it in reaper? Anyone tried that before? Any hints?

Do you use Alsa or Jack ?

Well maybe I am misunderstanding something? When I load a Carla patchbay, it's empty. Then I add a plugin, and the plugin becomes visible in the Carla-canvas. At that point I have to connect the plugin to the in/out nodes in the patchbay, right? I do that - but no MIDI ever reaches the plugin.

Take a look here: He is using qtractor but it would work in Reaper also. Scroll forward to approx 15 minuters in the video. He has more great videos on LMMS and Blender, really good stuff.
